Atlantic Immigration Program

Atlantic Immigration Program runs in conjunction with the Federal Government of Canada and the four provinces in the Atlantic Canada region:

The Atlantic admission scheme is an employer-driven scheme that expedites the admission of talented overseas workers to the region. All primary applicants arriving in Canada through the AIPP must have an employment offer from a nominated business. They are also expected to have a Plan of Settlement for themselves and their family members.

After locating a candidate who meets the program criteria and their employment needs, the designated company should make an initial job offer. AIPP does not require employers to get the LMIA – Labor Market Impact Assessment.

After the candidate accepts the job offer, the employer contacts them with a selected service provider organization for settlement to assess their needs and prepare a Plan of Settlement. The employer will also assist the recently arrived immigrant and family members, where applicable, with their long-term assimilation. This is to ensure that the immigrant meets the goals of the settlement plan upon arrival in Canada.

Employers who need to fill a job opening fast will be able to use the Provisional Work Visa to ensure that the immigrant and family members arrive in Canada as soon as possible. Candidates who seek to obtain this work visa will require:

Thus, AIPP is an extraordinary immigration track for applicants who are unable to obtain an ITA through the Express Entry Draw of the federal Express Entry Program. Such individuals can improve their chances of acquiring a Canada PR Visa by applying through this more straightforward immigration procedure.

AIPP: Atlantic International Graduate Program

Candidates who want to immigrate to Canada through any of the three Atlantic Immigration Program pathways must submit Plan of Settlement upon receiving job offer. The plan is intended to assist them in settling in Canada by emphasizing specific resources tailored to the needs of the candidates and their families. You will also be informed about community assistance points where you can seek help.

Candidates approve the Plan of Settlement with Service Provider for Settlement, which is available both internationally and within Canada. The employer can advise the candidate on the organization to be chosen.

During the assessment of needs, the organization will inquire about the candidate and their family. This can be done by phone, in person, or online. The organization will then offer the candidate personalized Plan of Settlement.

What do you mean by a Provincial Endorsement?

Every job offer made through the AIPP requires approval from the province. The employer manages the endorsement application once the candidate has received the Settlement Plan.

Candidates must not apply for Canada PR Visa until they receive the Endorsement Certificate. This must be submitted along with the application.
